Java Frinsa

Java Frinsa, originating from the Java Frinsa Estate nestled in the Bandung Highlands of West Java, Indonesia, is a family-owned farm managed by the Mustofa family. Fikri, the son of the owners, has taken on a leading role, carrying the farm into its next generation.

Established in 2012, Frinsa’s mission was to provide stability to highland areas ravaged by landslides and deforestation. This mission remains at the heart of the farm’s operations today, ensuring that coffee is grown under shade trees, pulp is transformed into fertilizer, and nothing from the harvest is wasted.

One of the unique processing methods employed at Frinsa is wet hulling, a technique that originated in Sumatra and has become synonymous with Indonesian coffee. In this process, the parchment is removed while the seed retains a significantly higher moisture content compared to traditional methods. This distinctive wet hulling process gives wet-hulled coffees their signature earthy flavors and notes of dried fruit and spice.

The vibrant coffee from Frinsa offers a delightful symphony of flavors, with the sweetness of Dried Papaya, the brightness of Yellow Pear, and an anchoring note of Tobacco.
