This exceptional spirit's name, 1738 Royale, commemorates the year when King Louis XV of France granted Monsieur Remy Martin the privilege to plant a new vineyard, a significant event given the strict regulations of the time. The vineyard began producing Eaux-de-vie fourteen years later, adhering to Cognac production regulations which dictate that all Eaux-de-vie must age in new and neutral French oak barrels. Remy Martin 1738 Royale features a blend of brandies aged from four to twenty years, with an average age of twelve.
